TRADE MARKS IN HONGKONG

On the 21st. ulto. we addressed the following

letter to the President of the Board of Trade, who

has now informed us that he has handed over our letter

to you, and instructed us to communicate with you in

any further correspondence on the matter.

We should feel greatly obliged if you could give us the information for which we ask, as a fair amount of business le pending, waiting for the decision:-

TRADE MARKS IN HONGKONG.

"We have a few very valuable Trade Marka, which

are our registered property in this country, but are "registered in the joint names of ourselves and a "German firm in Hongkong. As these marks can never

"be made use of by the German firm again, and are our "property here, we should be glad to know if we are

"entitled to make use of these marks for the Hongkong

'market at the present time. The use of the marka in

W question has naturally been suspended since the

"beginning of the War, and should we be unable to make

"use of them in the very near future, we fear their

"value will habe entirely vanished, a fact which would

injure British Trade to the benefit of the German."
